Numerous public transport connections from major European cities enable you to travel to the Zillertal in a relaxed and cost-effective manner. If you arrive by train or plane, your holiday starts as soon as you leave the house - no traffic jams at critical junctions, no time buffers to calculate. From Jenbach, your destination train station, you can easily reach Kaltenbach by Zillertalbahn or public bus. From your destination airport, Innsbruck or Munich, the reliable Four Seasons airport shuttle will bring you to the Wachterhof quickly and comfortably.

ARRIVAL BY CAR

Arrival with vignette: Take the Inntal motorway A12 to the motorway exit Zillertal and continue on the Zillertal federal road B169 to Ried. In Ried, turn right at the traffic lights (at the level of the railway station) and then follow the municipal road uphill through Ried. Above Ried keep left, cross the Riedbach bridge and then continue straight ahead. Follow the "Zillertaler Höhenstraße" for approx. 500 m and turn left at the signpost "Wachterhof", from there you'll reach us after approx. 400 m!

Arrival without vignette: Coming from Munich, take the Holzkirchen exit and follow the Bundesstraße 318 in the direction of Tegernsee. Passing the Tegernsee your way leads you to the federal road 307 in the direction of Achensee. Over the Achenpass, the Achental and the Brettfalltunnel you will reach the Zillertal and continue on the Zillertal Bundesstraße B169 to Ried. In Ried, turn right at the traffic lights (at the level of the railway station) and then follow the local road uphill through Ried. Above Ried keep left, cross the Riedbach bridge and then continue straight ahead. Follow the "Zillertaler Höhenstraße" for approx. 500 m and turn left at the signpost "Wachterhof", from there you'll reach us after approx. 400 m!

• Winter tyres are compulsory in Austria from 1 November to 15 April.
• Our houses are located at an altitude of about 850 meters. Snow chains might be necessary!

ARRIVAL BY TRAIN

The Zillertal is easily accessible by train from almost all over Germany - by day & night. Whether Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, Hanover or Frankfurt - travel with the ICE of the German Railways in high speed to Munich, with the EuroCity quickly on to Jenbach to change to the Zillertalbahn or the Four Seasons station shuttle.

• In no time at all: Have breakfast in Cologne, Hamburg, Berlin or Leipzig and in the early evening you can already explore the Zillertal mountains with your children.
• Save money: With the Sparpreis or the BahnCard, your way to the Zillertal is guaranteed to be cheap. The train tickets can be booked up to 6 months in advance.
• Save more: As a group of six or more people, you can travel to the Zillertal at a particularly low price. The Sparpreis Europa Group Austria can be booked up to 12 months in advance at the Travel Centre or by telephone - online up to 6 months in advance.
• Everything for your family: A train journey means adventure, fun and lots of freedom of movement. There will be no room for boredom in the toddler compartment, in the family areas on the ICE and thanks to the children's menu in the on-board restaurant or bistro. On many ICE trains, child minders are on board at weekends.
• Once you have arrived: Use the Zillertalbahn, the Four Seasons Travel shuttle service or a bus - comfort and mobility are guaranteed! 

TRAVEL BY PLANE

The airports of Innsbruck (55 km), Munich (180 km) and Salzburg (150 km) are in the immediate vicinity of the Zillertal and are directly connected to destinations throughout Europe by daily scheduled flights.
